Lindsey Montgomery, LCSW, SEP

Lindsey is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in the state of Texas. Lindsey earned her Master’s degree in Social Work in 2009 from A&M University. She completed her clinical experience at Integrative Psychiatric Solutions and UT Health Northeast Hospital in Tyler, TX. Lindsey has over 15 years of experience as a Mental Health Professional with clinical training in a variety of settings. In addition, Lindsey is an assistant for the distinguished Somatic Experiencing International trainings and provides student sessions at the Beginning level.
Lindsey is a trauma therapist, utilizing an integrative approach to help individuals' all around wellness rather than treating only symptoms of mental illness. Her approach is based in respect of each individual’s experience and values. Lindsey works from an integrative perspective and relies on a range of techniques and theories in her practice. As a therapist who utilizes and trained in attachment theory, Lindsey aims to understand the impact of early relationships on your current patterns of relating and coping. In a session, you can explore how these patterns influence your emotions, behaviors and relationships, and work towards creating healthier patterns of attachment and connection.
Lindsey is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) Certified. As a SEP, Lindsey has completed an additional 3 years training with personal experiential participation and extensive consultations in Somatic Experiencing through Somatic Experiencing International, the leading authority on the SE method of trauma resolution. As a Certified EMDR therapist, in addition to basic training, Lindsey completed supervised case consultations, additional supervised clinical hours and EMDR trainings. Lindsey is also trained in DARe (Dynamic Attachment Repatterning Experience). Lindsey demonstrates her expertise and commitment to providing effective trauma therapy to her clients.
Lindsey’s practice as a clinician is highly influenced by the works of Peter Levine, Diane Poole Heller, Steve Porges, Kathy Kain, Stephen Terrell, Deb Dana, and Robin Shapiro.
